about

We follow a storm as it manifests itself over a small dust-bowl town; growing into a destructive force of nature. There is a pause in the calm of the eye before plunging into mayhem once more. The twister is personified and driven by the shaman who conjures the storm into existence then drives its destructive winds.

lyrics

Devil drew a ring on the dust bowl land
Hot wind blew as he raised his hand
Suddenly the sky was alive
with things flying through the air

All came down on a mid-west town
Nobody knew where it hit the ground
Just kept running
Head in a spin
On the day of the big bad whirlwind

Chasing tornadoes

Standing by the road was a broken man
Head to toe in dirt and sand
Found the only ways to survive
Was driving him underground

Weather turned wild on an angry day
Storm out of nothing
Can have no name
Twisting in a rattle snake kind of way
Heading on
Down the hurricane alley

Chasing tornadoes

Down by the river
Where the river runs dry
There’s a beautiful calm
And a hole in the sky
Look at the heavens
And see sunlight
As you stand in the eye of a storm
